Fun on the Farm
In this interactive exhibit, children have exciting opportunity to step into the role of farmers. By engaging in a variety of fun and hands-on activities, they begin to grasp how food gets from the farm and to their tables. This has become a favorite destination for children, sparking their curiosity and interest in farming and food production.
Fun on the Farm is expertly managed by Corinne and Darrel Olsen, who are passionate about creating this enriching experience. Fun on the Farm is powered by a wonderful team of dedicated volunteers and donators who help bring this exhibit to life.
Fun on the Farm Schedule
What will kids do at Fun on the Farm?

01
Entry Barn
Welcome to the Entry Barn, where your farm experience begins! Slip on your apron, pick up a basket, grab some turkey feed, and get ready to "harvest" the variety of products we have to offer.
02
Sheep Barn
Gently pet Sir Wooliam the sheep and collect a piece of wool for your basket. Make sure to learn how to card your wool before proceeding to the next building.

03
Future Grain Silo
Currently just a lonely cement pad. Some day we hope that this will be the location for a grain silo where kids can learn more about seeds and planting crops. If you know of a silo that needs a new home, let us know!
04
Beef Barn
At the beef barn you'll be able to "brand" a cow. Choose from a wall showing many brands of local farmers or choose to create your own. Here you collect some "beef" before you continue your journey.

05
Tractor Circle
Fill up your tractor trailer with hay, then circle the loop to check on your farm. We need to transport that tasty hay to the next building where the horse barn is waiting!
06
Horse Barn
Here we learn about horses and all the equipment needed to ride and take care of them. For the younger children, they can ride a bouncy horse. Here we collect some small hay bales before we continue our journey to the garden.

07
Vegetable Garden
Here, you can "sow" a seed on one side and "harvest" a vegetable on the other. Make sure you reap your hard work by collecting a vegetable before you move on to the pig barn.
08
Pig Barn
Discover more about our smartest domestic animals, pigs! Explore the different cuts of pork and gather some bacon for your basket.

09
Fruit Orchard
Pick just one of your favorite fruit from the tree and place it in your basket.
10
Bug Building
Learn about the fascinating role bugs play on the farm. See how bees help farmers with their crops and, if you're not too squeamish, hold a live Madagascar hissing cockroach in your hand. Also, can you guess what bug makes that sound? Try our interactive display and hear some awesome bug noises. Grab some honey on your way out!

11
Chicken Coop
Collect an egg from one of the numerous chickens on the farm. Learn all about the health benefits eggs have for our bodies.
12
Dairy Barn
Take a turn to milk "Betsy" the cow. Grab a bottle of milk and add it to your basket. Milk is also great for our bodies. Learn some of the various ways it can help us grow!

13
Turkey Shed
Take a look at our baby turkeys (known as "polts"). They are looking a bit hungry, so be sure to drop off your turkey feed that you received in the first barn so they can have a hearty meal.
14
Market
In this building, you can drop off each item that you harvested from your hard work on the farm. Please place each item into the designated bins. Afterward, return the basket and apron. The store clerk will buy your items for a "Fun on the Farm Dollar". Now head over to the General Store to spend your earnings!

15
General Store
Here you can use your hard earned money from working on the farm to purchase something from the store such as milk, an apple, granola bar, and more!
15
Souvenir Shop
Fun on the Farm is run by donations from people like you! One way we hope you'll consider donating is buy stopping by our souvenir shop and getting something for the whole family. The items available for purchase are generally donated and all proceeds go towards helping Fun on the Farm come back next year. Fun on the Farm is not possible without help from our amazing volunteers and donators!
